FACTS ABOUT HYPNOSIS
Hypnosis can be amazingly effective and directly responsible for major changes
in a person’s pattern of living. Hypnosis is not, however, a surefire method of
chasing away all personal problems. Different individuals do obtain different
results over different periods of time.
Remember though, the areas you seek to improve are often behavioral patterns
that took an extended period of time to establish, and will likely take a little time
to positively change so you can better enjoy your life.
The key in this respect, is establishing a fresh outlook toward the areas you seek to
change and/or improve, and to apply only positive approaches to those areas.
This includes being free from self-deprecating, or "beating yourself up" types of
behaviors. Engaging in these types of acts with yourself only serves to denigrate
the positive aspects of your self-perceptions and sabotage your motivation for
positive change. If you hold negative thoughts about yourself and what you have
the ability to accomplish, the first issue you should positively approach is building
your self-esteem and increasing your sense of self-worth. Often, this extremely
important area is bypassed completely when it should be the first step in
completing a positive, lasting change.
Hypnosis works extremely well in conjunction with traditional and/or medical
therapies. For example, a person with heart problems or high blood pressure will
benefit immensely from stress reduction hypnosis. The possibilities for the
application of hypnosis and improvements it can bring are limitless.
Hypnosis is natural. The hypnotic state is a state your brain reaches on it's
own, but when facilitated in the hypnotherapuetic context, this natural brain state
can enable you to make positive changes to attitudes, deep-seated beliefs, emotions,
responses, and perceptions.
